FT: Trump Plans To Host Zelensky In Washington, D.C.

United States President Donald Trump plans to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky in Washington. The talks will take place on October 17, the Financial Times newspaper reported, citing sources.

The journalists learned that the Ukrainian leader's visit was preceded by a series of phone conversations he had with the White House host about the possible sale of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Details of the upcoming contacts between the heads of state have not yet been disclosed.

On October 13, the American leader said that he had a "good" conversation with Zelensky, during which the parties discussed the issue of weapons for Kiev. At the same time, Trump confirmed that Kiev would like to receive Tomahawk missiles from Washington.

Long before that, Vladimir Zelensky said that Donald Trump had not yet decided on the supply of these weapons. According to the Ukrainian leader, he is waiting for the decision of his American counterpart, while Kiev is "working" on the delivery of missiles.
