Trump: There Will Be No World War III

The U.S. president reassured the leaders attending the summit in Egypt.

There will be no World War III, United States President Donald Trump said during a summit to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The event was broadcast by the White House YouTube channel.

"They've always talked about World War III starting in the Middle East, but it's not going to happen. We don't want it to start anywhere at all," the American leader said.

The Gaza ceasefire summit was held in Sharm el-Sheikh on October 13. Egyptian authorities invited the leaders of 20 countries to the summit.

The United States, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey signed an agreement for peace in the Gaza Strip at the Sharm el-Sheikh meeting. Representatives of Israel and Hamas did not attend the summit. The ceasefire regime in the enclave has been in effect since October 10.
