Will the dictator release political prisoners?
On October 14, Lukashenko convened a meeting "on the global international situation and the development of Belarusian-American relations."
The dictator called Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, head of administration Dmitry Krutoy, Secretary of State of the Security Council Alexander Wolfovich, Chairman of the State Security Committee Ivan Tertel, Prosecutor General Andriy Shved, BelTA reports.
"We'll wait for their [Americans] global offer, a big deal, as they know how to say (they love these big deals). We are ready for it. We are ready to make a big deal with them," said Lukashenko.
It should be noted that Lukashenko expelled 51 political prisoners to Lithuania on September 11 as part of the deal with the Americans. Belarusian opposition leader Nikoli Statkevich refused to leave the country. His whereabouts are still unknown.
