Moldova has officially confirmed plans to nominate businessman Alexander Munteanu, who has lived in Ukraine for more than 20 years, for the post of prime minister.
As Newsmaker reports, the leader of President Maya Sandu's Action and Solidarity party (PAS) Igor Grosu announced this on his social networks.
Grosu said that PAS will wait for the Constitutional Court to approve the parliamentary mandates, and after the first parliamentary session and the formation of factions, the party will submit Munteanu's candidacy for consideration.
"Moldova needs competent people with great experience in the economy, who will be able to lead the EU integration process and support economic development. Thank you to Mr. Munteanu, a man with an impressive career, for agreeing to help the country right now, when it needs it most," Grosu said.
