The United States will make a major announcement tomorrow, October 15, about arms deliveries to Ukraine, American Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker announced at a press conference.

He said southern European countries should be more active in providing Ukraine with military support, especially through the alliance's special PURL program, which involves the purchase of American arms at the expense of European countries.

"President Trump has provided Ukraine with the best weapons in the world: it needs them, it craves them. This program is vital to getting Russia to the negotiating table, and I would urge those who have not yet participated to do so," Whitaker added.

In early October, US President Donald Trump said he had "almost made a decision" about supplying Tomahawk missiles to Kiev. "I might say [to Vladimir Putin], look, if this war can't be settled, I'm going to send them Tomahawk missiles," he noted.
