Lukashenko Fantasized About The Nobel Prize

The dictator had previously been awarded the Schnobel Prize twice.

Dictator Alexander Lukashenko fantasized that he would refuse the Nobel Prize if it were awarded to him.

"I sometimes think that if any of you or I were offered this prize, I would definitely refuse it. Because, well, look, we know from our figures what they have contributed to world peace in general. They've done nothing. On the contrary - they contributed and push Belarus to this so-called war," said the dictator at a meeting in Minsk on the global international situation and the development of Belarusian-American relations.

It should be noted that Lukashenko was twice awarded the "related" Schnobel Prize (Ig Nobel Prize), which is ironically awarded to people from different spheres for very ambiguous actions. Thus, in 2013, Lukashenko was awarded the prize for banning public applause and detention by the police because of this one-armed man, and in 2020 - for ignoring the coronavirus pandemic.

We recall that Belarusians have twice won the Nobel Prize. In 2015, Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich received the Nobel Prize in Literature. In 2022, Belarusian human rights activist and political prisoner Ales Bialiatski became a Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Bialiatski was twice imprisoned in a Belarusian prison. Bialiatski was detained in August 2011. He was released in June 2014 under an amnesty. During the 1,052 days spent in Babruisk colony № 2, Bialiatski wrote two books. The second time the human rights defender was detained after the elections and protests - on July 14, 2021. The sentence was passed on March 3, 2023 - 10 years of colony.
