Trump Took Offense To The Nobel Committee

The U.S. president shared his worries at an investor dinner.

US President Donald Trump has expressed outrage at not being honored with the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. He said this at a private dinner for influential businessmen and investors held in the East Room of the White House on Wednesday night, writes Daily Express (translated by Charter97.org).

The award this year went to Venezuelan oppositionist and democracy fighter Maria Corina Machado, prompting outrage from the White House. The Trump administration accused the Nobel committee of "putting politics before peace."

"I stopped eight wars in eight months. I've saved hundreds of millions of lives. But they didn't give me the Nobel Prize," Trump said, addressing the assembled financial and technology sector.

He said he has prevented conflicts in regions such as Israel and Iran, Azerbaijan and Armenia, India and Pakistan, and helped end fighting between Egypt and Ethiopia, and Serbia and Kosovo.

The event was attended by billionaires and CEOs of major companies, including Steve Schwarzman (Blackstone), Harold Hamm (Continental Resources), brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (crypto investors), as well as representatives from Microsoft, Meta, Google, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Palantir Technologies.

Political analysts have expressed concern about the influence of the business elite on the president's policies, especially against the backdrop of trade wars and new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.

Sources said the dinner was organized to have the president strengthen ties with leading corporations while emphasizing his "legacy" through major updates and renovations to the White House.
