Poland Named The Condition Under Which It Will Open "Bobrowniki" And "Kuznica"

Warsaw is "constantly monitoring" this process.

If new circumstances arise in relations with Belarus, Poland will take advantage of them to open border crossings from the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

Polish Interior and Administration Minister Martin Kerwiński said this on October 15, TVP.

-"We are constantly monitoring this process. If from the point of view of security, as well as relations with our neighbors, we are ready for it - these crossings will be opened," said Kierwiński.

Since November 2021, in response to the migration crisis unleashed by Belarus, Poland stopped traffic through the checkpoint "Kuznica" (from the Belarusan side "Bruzgi"). Since February 2023, it closed "Bobrowniki" ("Berestovitsa") - this was a response to the sentencing in Belarus of one of the leaders of the Union of Poles of Belarus, political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut.

Only one passenger checkpoint - "Terespol" ("Brest") and one cargo checkpoint - "Kukuryki" ("Kozlovichi") are in operation.
