Drones Attacked Russia's Fourth Largest Oil Refinery

Unknown drones attacked Lukoil's Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery (refinery) in the city of Kstovo on the night of October 5. A fire broke out after the explosions.
An incident near the plant was reported by local media and Telegram channels, UNIAN reports.
It is noted that the explosions in Kstovo occurred after 02:30 at night. Locals reported at least four loud explosions in the industrial area. In addition, bright flames and thick smoke were seen from the side of Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez.
It should be noted that the Nizhny Novgorod Refinery is the fourth largest oil refinery in the Russian Federation. The refinery processes up to 17 million tons of oil per year and produces more than 50 types of petroleum products, including auto, aviation and diesel fuels, as well as oil bitumen.
The enterprise is located about 800 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
