Oksana Pochobut, the wife of journalist Andrzej Pochobut, who was sentenced to 8 years in prison, said that the political prisoner was probably deprived of correspondence with his family. Oksana wrote about it on her page in "Facebook".

"Everything indicates that Andrzej Poczobut has been deprived of the last thing - correspondence with his relatives. After the SHIZO, where he was kept until September 23, he was immediately sent for a new term in the PKT (5th time) for 6 months. After leaving the SHIZO, there was not a single letter, which is very unusual," wrote Pochobut.

Earlier, the head of the Union of Poles of Belarus Anjelika Boris met with Andrzej Pochobut in the colony. According to her, Poczobut recently underwent surgery in the prison hospital - they cut out ulcers that had formed on the skin. He also suffers from hypertension and arrhythmia. Recently, he often has high blood pressure.

The journalist and leader of the Union of Poles of Belarus was detained in 2021. In February 2023, Pochobut was sentenced to 8 years in prison under the articles on "incitement of hostility" and "calls for actions against national security" (Articles 130 and 361 of the Criminal Code).
