US tech giant Microsoft has hired former British Conservative Party prime minister Rishi Sunak as an advisor.
It was reported by PA Media.
Sunak will work for Microsoft as a part-time senior advisor and advise the company on "macroeconomic and geopolitical trends" and speak on its behalf at events.
To avoid conflicts of interest, he is prohibited from advising Microsoft on British politics, as well as lobbying and using his political acquaintances.
Sunak will also donate all his Microsoft salary to The Richmond Project, a charity he founded with his wife Akshata Murthy to develop math skills in children.
Besides his work at Microsoft, the British ex-prime minister works at San Francisco-based artificial intelligence startup Anthropic and investment bank Goldman Sachs, where he previously worked from 2001-2004.
Rishi Sunak led the British government from October 2022 to July 2024, when his party lost the general election.
