Ukrainian TikTok Star Mobilized In The AFU

The singer went to defend Ukraine voluntarily.

Singer and literary scholar Yarina Kvasniy, who became famous in TikTok thanks to her performance of the song "Steam Machine," has revealed that she mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the girl in an interview with OBOZ.UA, it was her voluntary decision.

Yarina said that after a sudden wave of popularity, she left her studies at the prestigious university Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and got a job. Soon after, she applied for mobilization.

"Last May, I applied to the TCC - and for eight months I sat in complete obscurity. I thought: either they forgot about me, or I don't fit, or ... I don't even know what. At first I was worried, then I tried to guess, then I just wasted away - it seemed that nothing would work out. And then, on the second day of the Christmas holidays, I got a call and was told: "Tomorrow, arrive at TCC". And I rushed to Kiev," the servicewoman recalled.
