Serbian Parliament Speaker: Ukraine Is A Friend Of Serbia

Speaker of the Serbian Parliament (Assembly) Ana Brnabic arrived on an official visit to Kiev, during which she held a meeting with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"I would like to emphasize that Ukraine is a friend of Serbia. We especially appreciate the fact that Ukraine respects the territorial integrity of Serbia," Brnabic said.

She emphasized that Serbia fully supports Ukraine on the path of European integration. The parliament speaker announced the signing of a memorandum on the work of the two countries in the field of European integration, which is a strategic goal for both Kiev and Belgrade.

On November 5, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said he had a telephone conversation with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic. According to the politician, he and the Serbian head "substantively discussed the European integration" of the two countries.

"There are things in which we can help each other. We also talked about opportunities for cooperation in the sphere of regional security. Our countries are equally interested in this, we will work," Zelensky said.
