A representative of the Volgograd diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), Father Evgeny Karavaev, held an off-site prayer service in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the region, according to the telegram channel Dozor in Volgograd. The priest armed himself with an icon of the Mother of God and toured the district along its perimeter, as it is home to the Lukoil Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery, which has previously come under Ukrainian drone strikes.
In the course of the "prayer raid," which took place on Nov. 6 after another AFU drone raid with one casualty, Karavaev, rector of the Church of St. Theodore Ushakov, twice served a prayer service to protect the region from drone attacks. The procession ended at the worship cross at Lesobaza, where prayers were held for those killed in the 2013 terrorist attack.
On the night of November 6, Ukraine carried out a massive drone attack on the Volgograd region. Due to "falling debris" from UAVs, a fire was recorded on the territory of an industrial zone in Krasnoarmeysky district, where Lukoil Volgogradneftepererabotka, one of the largest producers of oil products in the Southern Federal District with a capacity of 14.8 million tons, is located. It was previously attacked on October 15.
