British Marines Learn How To Hijack Ships And Oil Rigs In The Baltic Sea

The exercise took place on the Estonian island of Saaremaa.

The British Royal Marines have begun exercises on secretly boarding enemy ships and seizing oil rigs in the eastern part of the Baltic Sea. This is reported by publication Military Watch Magazine (MWM).

The exercise took place on the Estonian island of Saaremaa. According to the publication, special forces from the 42nd and 47th Marine Commando Units, along with the 3rd Battalion of the Ranger Regiment, took part.

MWM emphasized that the exercise took place at a time of rising tensions between Russia and the West. The publication noted that if hostilities escalate further, strikes could target Russian shipping and oil infrastructure.
