The Lukashenko regime has been using illegals as a weapon for four years now.
Lithuania's State Border Guard Service notes that the Belarusian regime began organizing migration attacks in the summer of 2021 to destabilize Lithuania and neighboring countries.
"The most significant turning point in dealing with the crisis was the decision in August 2021 to turn around illegals.
Three countries - Poland, Lithuania and Latvia - have not let in 200,042 illegals since then until 00:00 on November 2. Last Sunday, 18 illegal migrants tried to pass into Poland and 40 into Latvia, according to Delfi.lt.
The Lithuanian border had no such cases on Sunday night. Poland had the most problems - it thwarted 135,810 attempts to cross the border illegally. Since August 3, 2021, Poland has prevented 24,508 illegal immigrants from entering, while Lithuania has prevented 39,724 in the same time," SOGG reports.
Some illegal immigrants have tried to illegally cross the border of different countries several times. In addition to the adopted procedure for turning away illegals at the border, border guards were helped by the equipment of a physical barrier at the border with Belarus and the possibility of controlling 100% of the border with video cameras.
