On the night of Wednesday, November 5, the Russian city of Orel was loud - a series of powerful explosions were heard, after which the sky turned orange. The missiles reportedly hit near a thermal power plant during the attack, reports OBOZ.UA.

Local authorities have not yet confirmed the missile attack, saying that Orel was allegedly attacked by UAVs.

"As a result of the work of air defense forces over Orel, enemy UAVs were destroyed. Several private houses and outbuildings were damaged when their individual elements fell. At the moment there is no information about casualties," wrote the governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klichkov.

He said that EMERCOM and law enforcement officials have arrived at the scene.

As OBOZ.UA reported, recently, on the night of October 31, the Orel region of the aggressor country Russia was attacked by Ukrainian drones. Under attack was the regional center, where the local thermal power plant was hit. After that, light disappeared in parts of the region and directly in Orel.
