Ukraine's Ambassador To US Says Positive Talks On Tomahawk Missiles

And also on other long-range weapons.

Ukraine and the United States are in "positive" talks about buying long-range Tomahawk missiles as well as other long-range weapons.

Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanyshyn, said this, according to Bloomberg.

She said discussions are still ongoing and "we" have many delegations working to increase financial resources to buy more military capabilities from the United States.

"It's not just about Tomahawk, but various types of other long-range and short-range missiles, and I can only say one thing: it's very positive," she told Balance of Power.

The ambassador also responded to a question about repeated Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure that have happened in recent weeks.

Stefanyshina noted that "this is definitely a very difficult period for Ukraine."

"We are working hard to give Ukraine more air defense capabilities. We can survive this winter and another, but that doesn't mean we're doing the right thing," the ambassador to the United States said.

She added that any refusal to pressure Russia would be seen as "something that gives them the green light to build up their capabilities."
