A Belarusian woman was convicted for helping several dozen political prisoners.
Artist Oksana Shalyapina was sentenced to three years in prison for helping political prisoners, the Dissidentby initiative reported.
Shalyapina was detained in June 2025 and placed in SIZO-1. Her trial began in November, and on December 8, her sentence of three years in prison was announced. The woman was convicted for helping several dozen political prisoners.
Oksana Shalyapina is 47 years old. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, she has been painting in oil since 2009, the direction of work - expressionism.
Shalyapina's works are in private collections in America, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Luxembourg, Finland, Italy, as well as in the gallery Larus (USA). The artist is a member of the Union of Artists "Master Peacemaker".
