Lukashenko: Even If Peace Is Established In Ukraine, It Will Not Make Us Feel Any Better

The dictator said his regime "will continue to be strangled."

Even if "today or tomorrow" peace is established in Ukraine, official Minsk "will not become easier from it." This opinion was voiced by Alexander Lukashenko on December 9 at a meeting of the Security Council.

The usurper noted that the situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border "more or less stabilized," although there are still "a lot of problems there." On December 8, the head of the State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov, for example, reported to him that there are still "a lot of issues to be solved in this section, which will have to be solved in a mobilization order and build the border, which is abandoned from the side of Ukraine, and build outposts, and arm the border guards." Moreover, the dictator noted, the Armed Forces have to be placed in the second line behind the border guards.

Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus welcomes the negotiations on Ukraine, but noted that if "even if they manage to establish peace today or tomorrow, it will not make us feel better."

- We will continue to be strangled. And especially these states... I don't want to insult them, so as not to offend the people we have in the north or northwest," the usurper said. - They demand something from us. What if we were to create alternative governments in Belarus and support the "fighters for independence. They create fighting groups there, they arm them. Remember - the colors. They haven't gone anywhere. And whole regiments, as they call them. Is this a joke? And they have some kind of claims against us. Well, if they keep them, let them keep them. If they have money. But if it is directed against our country, how should we react to it.

According to the dictator's press service, "given the current situation and militarization of Western countries," Lukashenko "stated the need to actualize defense actions of Belarus" so that "everyone could see (and first of all our people) that we are ready to defend every scrap of our land".

- We do not want war, we do not consider anyone our adversaries and rivals. But nevertheless, we are preparing for this war so that it does not happen," Lukashenko said.
