Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, activist of the ‘European Belarus’ civil campaign, has left Belarus and is currently in the territory of the European Union.
In the coming hours she will meet with her husband and children. Andrei Sharenda, her husband, ‘European Belarus’ activist, has informed Charter97.org about it.
Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk was released on 1 February.
We remind you, the ‘European Belarus’ activist was detained on 3 January 2021. On 9 June 2021, Maskouski District Court of Brest sentenced her to two years in prison, after which the term was added several times.
Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk served four terms in the colony: the term was extended three times for the mother of two children, after the first sentence was passed. Almost all the time behind bars Palina was in complete isolation. Her health deteriorated badly in the colony.
