24-year-old Belarusian Maryja Zaytsava, who died at the front in Ukraine, was bid farewell in Kyiv.
On 7 February, the Belarusian volunteer was buried at the cemetery in Kyiv, where other Belarusian soldiers are buried, reports Radio Svaboda.

Among others, a Belarusian fighter with the call sign ‘Minsk’ from the II International Legion is buried here. He was killed in action in the summer of 2023.
Maryja Zaytsava died in the battles near Pokrovske on 17 January, where she was fighting as a member of the 2nd International Legion.

The girl became famous during the 2020 protests. A lot of people remember the Belarusian girl by the photo, taken on 9 August in Minsk near the Stela. Then the girl was wounded by a flash-bang grenade, and there were several wounds from rubber bullets in her body.
