An Unidentified Object Fell Into The Sea Near Klaipeda

Fire and rescue crews have converged on the beach.

On Friday evening in Melnraga (Klaipeda, Lithuania), fire-rescuers arrived at the beach as an unidentified object was reported to have fallen into the sea from the sky.

Fire-rescuers reported Delfi that they were informed of an object falling from the sky.

The eyewitnesses told Delfi that they saw an object falling from the sky, so they called fire and rescue personnel. They said the object looked like an unexpanded parachute falling.

The video of the falling object, however, revealed the reason for the panic.... two deflated helium balloons were falling into the sea. Apparently they had been let into the sky for someone's birthday, numbers were seen. The objects fell into the sea, 300-400 meters from the shore.

These balloons were brought from the sea by rescuers on a jet ski. Residents are urged not to launch helium balloons into the sky - they pollute nature and cause confusion, interfering with the work of special services.
