Belarusian human rights activist, former political prisoner and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski met today with Pope Leo XIV.

At the meeting he told the pontiff about the human rights situation in Belarus, asking for prayers and attention to the humanitarian disaster that is unfolding in the country.

Telegram channel "Khrystsiyanskaya Viziya" promises to give details of the meeting.
