Belarusian army buys Islander-type missiles

It has been stated at a briefing in Minsk by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and first deputy defense minister of Belarus Syarhei Hurulyou.

“Deployment of Russian missile systems Iskander is not considered, but we plan to buy complexes similar to Iskander,” Hurulyou said. “Besides, planes for re-equipment of the Belarusian army include buying of S-400 and TOR systems”.

Belarus won’t be limited to buying Russian defense enterprises when re-equipping its military forces. “Why should we be limited to that? We should have and buy the best and most modern. The formula is simple – cost and efficiency interrelation,” Syarhei Hurulyou said.
