Gazprom doesn’t comment on gas prices for Belarus

The press service of Russia’s Gazprom company refused to comment on the information about gas prices for Belarus in 2009.
An officer of the press service said in a telephone conversation with Radio Svaboda:
“Sergei Kupriyanov (he is the only official representative) hasn’t commented on the situation yet. I am ordered to give such answers to journalists.”
According to Russian Kommersant daily, Gazprom is now discussing on compensation losses amid the global financial crisis. It is possible partially if gas prices for Belarus are be increased up to $240 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2009.
