Chechnya’s mission to be opened in Minsk

A representation of the Chechen Republic is to open in Minsk. It has been stated by the press-service of the president and government of this Russian region.

The preparative events for opening a mission have been carried out already. Nothing is said about the date of its opening so far.

As the press-service informs, relations with Belarus were established in March 2001. Then a declaration of intent between the Administration of the Chechen Republic and Minsk city executive committee was signed. According to this document, an Agreement on Trade, Economic and Cultural cooperation was signed in 2002.

Over the recent years direct agreements on deliveries of goods of Minsk Tractor plant, Minsk automobile plant and other Belarusian plants have been concluded.

And the Chechen side has elaborated a Program on attraction of Belarusian companies into the process of rebuilding of construction projects in the Chechen Republic which haven’t been included into the special Federal program for the period until 2010.
