11

The headmaster and deputy head of Minsk Art Gymnasium named after Akhremchyk put psychological pressure on 8-form girl Viktorya Ladis, “Young Front” activist.

The incident happened after the girl and Minsk “Young Front” coordinator Pavel Kuryanovich had been detained the day before when spreading posters about march “For Independence!” which is to be held on October square at 6.00 p.m. on May 14.

The administration of the gymnasium got interested in how Viktorya Ladis was involved in “Young Front” and her duties in the organization, mfront.net reports.

“When I told Pavel Kuryanovich was detained with me, the headmaster began to shout and said Pavel Kuryanovich was a criminal. The headmaster also said KGB officer would come to school soon, and threatened I could be expelled,” the youth activist told.

According to the girl, the deputy head of the gymnasium doesn’t allow her to go out until KGB officers come.
