Was the DDoS of ADSL.by network due to “Godbatka”?

At the same time several Belarusian Internet providers had to switch their users off Internet.

The problems started on October, 8 at about 17-15 Minsk time. According to the information of Electroname.com, users of “Business network”, “Solo” and “Belinfonet” (ADSL.by trade mark) were complaining about the absence of Internet access.

As it was informed in ADSL.by press service, the provider’s network was attacked. The talk is about Distributed Denial of Service, which paralyzed the operation of Internet provider’s network. Technical service of ADSL.by managed to neutralize the attack and in 10 ten minutes Internet access for users was restored.

We are reminding, today Belarusian users were waiting for the announced episode of a scandal film of NTV “Godbatka” which is cut out of the broadcasting of NTV channel in Belarus. The only possibility to watch this film is – to download it from Internet.

By a strange concurrence of circumstances attacks at popular opposition sites took place and technical problems with Internet access arose exactly on the days of the broad casting of previous episodes in the Belarusian Internet.
