Sellers in Belsayuzdruk newsstands made to raise sales of state-run newspapers

State-run newspapers “Sovetskaya Belorussia” and “Homelskya Prauda” increase their circulations as the election is coming nearer.

Staff of Belsayuzdruk newsstands is obliged by their employers to raise sales of the above mentioned newspapers.

“The increased circulations of “Sovetskaya Belorussia” and “Homelskaya Prauda” have been delivered to newsstands,” a seller at Belsayuzdruk told the campaign Human Rights Activists for Free Election.

According to her, newsstand sellers are obliged to sell far more those newspaper than before. That’s why they offer everyone to buy these papers.

“At first, they made to subscribe to state-run newspapers at enterprises, postmen ask to subscribe to them to hit the sales targets. Now, they’ve taken on newsstands,” dwellers of Mozyr complain at staff of newsstands.
