For 9 months Belarus has traded at minus $6 billion

Negative balance of foreign trade of commodities is growing in unprecedented tempo.

As a result of the work of Belarusian economy for 9 months of 2010 the negative balance of foreign trade of commodities has reached 5982,6 mln. USD against 5028,6 mln. USD for the analogue period of 2009, Belstat reports.

In September the negative balance made up 989 mln. USD (against 812,5 mln. USD in August, 691,1 mln. USD in July, 787,6 mln. USD in June, 659,1 mln. USD in May, 827 mln. USD in April, 767,3 mln. USD in March, 440,5 mln. USD in February and 28,5 mln. USD in January of 2010).

The volume of foreign trade of commodities in January-September of 2010 made up 41061,8 mln. USD, increasing by 17,1% compared to January-September of 2009. Import of commodities increased by 17,3% up to 23522,2 mln. USD, export - by 16,8% up to 17539,6 mln. USD.

At the same time, as AFN writes, deliveries to CIS countries made up 9654,9 mln. USD out of the total volume of export, increasing by 47,5% compared to January-September of 2009. Export to Russia increased by 48,6% up to 7018,7 mln. USD. Export to countries outside CIS decreased by 7% and made up 7884,7 mln. USD.

Deliveries from CIS countries made up 14026,1 mln. USD in the total volume of import, increasing by 9,4%. Including, the volume of import from Russia which increased by 5,6% and made up 12420,1 mln. USD. From the countries outside CIS Belarus increased import by 31,1% up to 9 496,1 mln. USD.

Negative balance of trade of Belarus with CIS countries made up 4371,2 mln. USD (against 6258,9 mln. USD in January-September of 2009), in trade with Russia - 5401,4 mln. USD (against 7033,2 mln. USD). In trade with countries outside CIS the negative balance also formed, and made up 1611,4 mln. USD (last year it was positive in the amount of 1230,3 mln. USD).
