“Nasha Niva”: Yarmoshina lied about debates

Head of the Central Electoral Commission Lidziya Yarmoshina stated, that “none of the contenders and representatives of headquarters have laid claims on the way of conducting TV debates openly yet”.

We are reminding that they are planned to be shown in record. According to the words of Lidziya Yarmoshina, it is easier for BT to host debates in such form.

“Nasha Niva” inquired heads of initiative groups of some contenders, whether they really agree to the recorded debates. It turned out, that they do not agree.

The spokesman of Andrei Sannikov Alyaksandr Atroshchankau does not see any sense in holding TV debates in record. “Of course, we are for debates in live broadcasting”, - Atroshchankau stated.

Alaksiej Janukievich, head of the pre-election headquarters of Ryhor Kastusyow, said that record of debates –is “a funny suggestion”. “We repeatedly declared in public, that debates are to be broadcasted live. Record of debates – is a stage direction of a necessary picture”, - Janukievich said.

The head of the initiative group of he contender from BCD Pavel Sevyarynets is of the same opinion: “Record – is a circus. We are considering a possibility of participating in debates only in a case, if the debates will be live, with participation of Lukashenka. I know which methods BT uses in its work”.

The head of the initiative group of Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu Andrei Dzmitryeu noted, that he personally told Yarmoshina about the necessity of holding the debates in live: “We demanded it during the examination of the claim for our initiative group. We suppose that one should participate only in live debates. If it will be a record, then there is no sense in them”.
