10

The Young Front activists, who took part in an action on Freedom square on St Valentine’s Day, have met pressure at work and in education establishments.

Minor youth activist Maryna Shaulouskaya received a letter from the Ministry of Education. She and her mother were called to the education department of the Minsk district. Headmaster of the school, where Maryna Shaulouskya studies, attended the meeting. The girl was said to stop her public activity in an opposition organization. After the February 14 action the youth activist was registered with militia, the press service of the Young Front reports.

Young Front activist Stanislau Stesik went to hospital after he had been beaten on Freedom square on February 14. Medical workers didn’t find serious injures and said with smiles: “We are out of politics.” Yesterday’s medic al examination diagnosed the activist with “skin damage”. Medical workers added: “We think you were training in a gym, so you may have muscle ache.” The guy feels bad today. Moreover, school administration presses on him for the recent action.

Other Young Front activists, who were detained at the action on St Valentine’s Day, have also met problems. Kasya Dalidovich had to write explanations in university. Veranika Velihor from Hrodna suffers from pressure at work.

We remind that the Young Front held an action in Minsk on February 14 to mark St Valentine’s Day. Dozens of participants were beaten and detained.
