Belarusian ambassador does not intend to go to Bishkek yet

"The Ambassador has returned to Minsk and started to perform her duties," noted the representative of the embassy.

As the agency was told by the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Savinykh, "the Foreign Ministry took the return of Kyrgyz Ambassador positively". "Undoubtedly, it is a good channel for a dialogue, it would contribute to better mutual understanding between the sides," the press-secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted.

He added that the Belarusian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Viktar Dzenisenka is still in Minsk.

Earlier Savinykh said that Belarusian diplomats' leaving Kyrgyzstan "is a provisional measure, related, I repeat, to the physical threat to life and health of our diplomats in Bishkek only". As said by him, "the threat is posed by extremist who are beyond any control".

Savinykh stated that Belarusian diplomats "will return to performing their professional duties in Kyrgyzstan as soon as the situation would come to normal there". I undrline: this decision is not connected to any other factors but security reasons," the MFA spokesperson said.
