Investigator Baikova stops hunger strike

Since June 16 the senior investigator for particularly important cases of the General prosecutor’s office Svyatlana Baikova stops hunger strike in the investigatory isolation ward of the KGB, which was started on May 31.

“Belarusian partisan” has been informed about that by lawyer Mikhail Vouchak.

“For about half of a day I had been persuading her to stop hunger strike, and finally my reasons took effect. She wrote an application to the director of the investigatory isolation ward that she stops hunger strike. She said that she hoped for a reaction of the leader of the state to the letter to him, which had been sent by her one of these days,” Mikhail Vouchak noted.

The senior investigator for particularly important cases of the General prosecutor’s office Svyatlana Baikova was detained by KGB investigators in February, the term of her detention was extended in May, till June 24. Baikova is suspected of abuse of her position while she was in charge of investigation of cases of high-ranking state officials.
