A Belarusian delegation visits Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba and Ecuador.

During the visit to Cuba the Belarusian delegation headed by Lukashenka's aide Viktar Sheiman considered prospects of implementing projects on modernization of Cuban oil refining and energy complexes.

Как сообщил сегодня на брифинге пресс-секретарь МИД Беларуси Андрей Савиных, во время посещения Кубы состоялись встречи и переговоры белорусской делегации с заместителем председателя Совета министров Кубы Рикардо Кабрисасом, министром внешней торговли и иностранных инвестиций Родриго Мальмиеркой, министром базовой промышленности Ядирой Гарсия, министром черной металлургии и машиностроения Сальвадором Пардо Крузом, представителями отраслевых министерств и ведомств. Белорусская делегация также провела встречи с руководителями ведущих кубинских внешнеторговых компаний.

As said by the spokesperson of the Belarusian Foreign Minister Andrei Savinykh at a briefing today, during the visit to Cuba meetings and talks of the Belarusian delegation with Ricardo Cabrisas, vice president of the Council of Ministers, Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca, Basic industry minister Yadira Garcia, Minister of Heavy Industries Salvador Pardo Cruz and representatives of ministries and agencies have taken place. The Belarusian delegation has also held meetings with heads of the leading foreig trade companies.

During the meetings the future of projects on modernization of Cuban oil refining and energy complexes, further steps for creation of a tractor assembly factory and service centres for repairing and service works for Belarusian vehicles were discussed.

Concrete agreements on deliveries of tractors and spare parts to buses and cars have been reached, new directions for stepping up trade, economic and scientific and technilogical cooperation between Belarus and Cuba have been planned.

At the moment the delegation is on hte way to Bolivia, and then to Ecuador and Venezuela, Belta notes.

In these countries it is planned to discuss with concerned agencies and companies possible spheres of bilateral cooperation in the oil and energy sphere, metal mining industry, machinery-producing industry, construction, and to work out issues of vehicles, drilling equipment, agricultural equipment and food deliveries.

Implementing of projects on creation of vehicles and agricultural equipment assembly plants, provision of gas supply to different cities are also to be discussed with Venezuelan side.

In the framework of the meetings the Belarusian delegation also plans to discuss prospects of deliveries of the machinery-producing industry and agro-industrial complex to Venezuelan market.
