Lithuanian Foreign Ministry: There is new information about Bankauskas detention

The Head of Foreign Ministry confirmed that he had new information about the detained, but he said, he would not tell it.
New information about the detained company commander of the municipal mounted police of Vilnus Laimonas Bankauskas comes from Belarus, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis informed, ru.DELFI.lt reports.
The Head of Foreign Ministry confirmed that he had new information about the detained, but he said, he would not tell it. “I have it, but I will not tell”, – Ažubalis cut short, answering the question, if there any new information about Bankauskas.
As it was informed earlier, Bankauskas, was detained on August, 16 at Ashmyany frontier post. It is stated that there were 45, 5 grams of amphetamine in the policemen's car.
The agency learned from the head of the information and public relations center of the Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus Alyaksandr Antanovich, that the materials of the criminal case of the company commander of the municipal mounted police of Vilnus commissariat Laimonas Bankauskas were handed over to the KGB Department of Grodno region on August, 19. On August, 20 Antanovich noted that the term of detention was extended by 10 days for Bankauskas.
