Dashkevich threatened with maximally severe sentence and disciplinary cell

As human rights activists have found out, the Yong Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich, who is kept in Minsk pre-trial detention centre in Valadarski Street, has been visited by an officer of the military counterintelligence once again.

For denial to cooperate, he threatened Zmitser Dashkevich with a maximally severe sentence by the court, and with spending the entire term in a disciplinary cell. The trial over Dashkevich is to start on March 21, Vyasna human rights centre informs.

It is not known in detail, what the representative of the military counterintelligence and the youth leader have been discussing. But their conversation was not a success. At the same time, military counterintelligence agencies, along with other special services, are engaged in investigation of the criminal case on “mass disturbances” in Minsk on December 19. Thus, though investigation of his case has been finished, and the trial is to come soon, the pressure on Dashkevich continues.

Zmitser Dashkevich and another representative of the Young Front, Eduard Lobau, were detained the day before the events of December 19. They both are accused of malicious hooliganism (Article 339 Part 3 of the Criminal Code) and face from 3 to 10 years of deprivation of liberty.
