Bishop Veniamin promises to seek meeting between Pavel Sevyarynets and a priest

Bishop of Borysausk, vicar of Minsk diocese Veniamin said during the talks with Tatsyana Sevyarynets that he would help to organize a meeting of a priest with Tatsyana’s son, BCD co-chairman Pavel Sevyarynets.

The press service of the BCD party doesn’t rule out he will do it though KGB head Vadzim Zaitsau.

Besides, the Bishop promised to initiate signing an agreement between the KGB and Orthodox Church allowing confession in the KGB detention facility, like in a jail in Valadarski Street.

Tatsyana met with bishop Veniamin in Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk after a service of commemoration of St Sophia of Slutsk. After the meeting, Tatsyana and bishop prayed for settling all questions raised. “I told the bishop that Pavel evangelizes his cell mates,” Tatsyana said.

“I am still impressed by the meeting and the conversation with His Grace Veniamin. I am truly grateful to him and priest Nikolay from the diocese for his personal contribution in organizing the meeting,” Tatsyana Sevyarynets said.
