Iran: Joint Commerce Chamber With Belarus

The establishment of Iran-Belarus Chamber of Commerce will promote cooperation between the two countries, said the head of Iran Trade Development Organization.

According to a report by the Public Relations Department of the organization, Hamid Safdel told Belarusian Ambassador in Tehran Victor Ribak that the level of commercial ties between the two nations is promising, IRNA reported.

"Given the capabilities of the two countries, the level of trade exchanges should improve," he said. Safdel also pointed out that cooperation agreements between the two states should help promote ties.

Speaking ahead of the 10th joint commission meeting and the exclusive exhibition, he also said that such programs would play a crucial role in promoting commercial ties.

Ribak, for his part, said Iranian businessmen invested $20 billion in his country in 2010.

He also voiced his country's readiness to organize exclusive exhibitions in Iranian provinces.
