Draft law “No gatherings in groups of more than three”

291

The Council of Ministers has prepared draft amendments to the Law on Mass Events in the Republic of Belarus.

The demonstration on December 19, 2010, and silent protests on Wednesday scared the dictator so much that new absurd ideas were proposed to the draconian law, which already prohibits any public display of dissent with disagreement with the actions by the authorities.

The Council of Ministers proposes to apply for permission for “mass presence of people in a previously arranged place (including in open air) and at a set time to commit any specific action or inaction organized (among other means by the Internet or other information networks) for public demonstration of their social and political moods or protest.
