Statkevich taken to medical unit after an injury

Maryna Adamovich, the wife of the politician, says that presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich is in the medical unit of the penal colony in Shklou (the Mahilou region).

She says Statkevich got an “industrial injury” at a timber mill at the penal colony. “We have information that his arm was pinned down by a beam. He was taken to a medical unit and the arm was put in plaster” Maryna Adamovich told BelaPAN.

“I’ve sent an appeal to the chief of the Shklou colony demanding a telephone call. I have not heard anything about Statkevich, except for his meeting with the lawyer, since August 4. I want to know the details about his health,” the politician’s wife said.
