Alyaksandr Mauchnau remains in custody

According to Halina, the preliminary investigation is in progress now. The measure of restraint cannot be changed due to Alyaksandr’s previous conviction for the events on December 19, 2010. So, Mauchnay will remain in custody, “Nasha Niva” newspaper reports.

Former political prisoner Alyaksandr Mauchanau was arrested on suspicion of stealing metal scrap. After the release from prison he was accused of insulting the state flag in Barysau, but his guilt was not proven.

Alyaksandr is in a temporary detention facility now.
