The government of Belarus has offered China to buy a Belarusian bank or to establish its own in Belarus.

“We could have render support in registration of a Chinese bank in Belarus and have agrred to sell obe of the Belarusian banks or its equity stake to the Chinese commercial banks,” noted the head of the Belarusian government.

According to the Prime Minister, the establishment of a Chinese bank in Belarus would facilitate the work of both the Belarusian and Chinese parties in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park planned to be built near Minsk.

Belarus and China have signed a framework agreement on financing the first stage of the construction of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. The document was signed following the session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Chinese Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation held on October 30th in Minsk.
