Palazhanka: We'll start looking for Dashkevich in prisons on Thursday

Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich can arrive at a prison within two days.

The Corrections Department refused to inform on October 31 to which prison the political prisoner would be sent, Radio Svaboda reports.

On October 30, the court took a decision that Dashkeivch should be moved to a closed prison until the rest of his prison term. Dashkevich's fiancee Anastasia Palazhanka explains how it usually becomes known about the new prison:

“In accordance with prison rules, this information is reveals on arrival of an inmate at a prison. The prison administration sends a letter to his family to inform about prisoner's whereabouts. In this case, the letter will be sent to Dashkevich's father. We will phone to prisons, though it's clear no one will tell us anything. The road from Mozyr to Hrodna via the detention facility in Baranavichy takes two days. It takes less time to get to Zhodzina. We will ask people from Hrodna and Zhodzina to go to prisons and ask about Dashkevich on Thursday morning. I think they should give this information,” Palazhanka says.
