Dashkevich thrown into punishment cell for 30 days

Relatives and friends of the Young Front leaders are shocked by the number of days he had to spend in the punishment cell.

A lawyer had a meeting with Zmitser Dashkevich this week. They could talk through a glass barrier under close control from prison guards, who did permit to touch any topics not relating to legal aspects of Dashkevich's case. Zmitser was not able to explain why he was punished. The penitentiary authorities claim he “refused to fulfill requirements”.

According to Dashkevich's fiancee, Anastasia Palazhanka, Dashkevich wrote in his latest letter he was prepared for a such a situation, the press service of Young Front reports.

The political prisoner is under unprecedented pressure . His new 30-day term in the punishment cell demonstrates the pressure on him only increases. He has never received such a long term in isolation before.
