Activists of Tell the Truth campaign, Andrei Dzmitryeu and Mikhail Pashkevich, were summoned to the police department of Smalyavichy on April 28.
The were told in the police department they should appear before the Smalyavichy district court at 5 pm on May 7.
Dzmitryeu and Pashkevich are accused of violating the law on mass events. Police reports were drawn up for organizing and holding a meeting of summer houses owners, who protest against construction of a Chinese industrial park. Dzmitryeu also accused of making a speech at the meeting.
“It's a pity protection of public interests collides with the interests of bureaucracy. It's a clear manipulation of the law. It was a meeting. Everyone has the right to meetings. But the main thing is that we won and a special presidential decree was not signed. We gained this important thing. But this is a ground to be punished in Belarus,” Dzmitryeu said.
