Tax agencies take revenge for helping Lyabedzka

Tax offices have turned to people who helped financially to pay Anatol Lyabedzka's lawyers in late 2010 - early 2011.

The leader of the United Civil Party (UCP) spent two months in the KGB jail on accusations of organizing mass disorders during the 2010 presidential campaign, “Belorusski Partizan” writes.

“Tax offices began to check the people who helped to collect money to pay my lawyer when I was in the KGB jail. They reached Bahdankevich, Marholin. People from Vileika and Hrodna phoned. A total of about ten people. By international measures, the aid was not big – about 4 million rubles – but people are called to tax offices,” Lyabedzka said.
