Protesters against NPP construction beaten in Minsk

Police detained 21 young activists  in Minsk.

The young people were detained by police at they were having a meeting with Heorhy Lepin, Doctor of Engineering and nuclear problems specialist.

Twenty one people were taken to the Maskouski district police department. Some of them faced physical abuse, threats to draw up police reports against them and take into custody, Viasna human rights centre reports.

All of them are reported to be released after fingerprinting.
