National Bolsheviks leader given 5 days in custody

Yauheny Kontush, the leader of the Belarusian National Bolsheviks, has been sentenced to five days in custody by the Maskouski district court on May 30.

He is charged with disorderly conduct (swearing in public), the press service of the organizing committee to create the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) reports.

Kontush was detained by police in Minsk in the morning.

One more National Bolshevik, Dzmitry Sinyak, is reported to have been detained, but the information has not been confirmed yet. His fate is unknown.

The National Bolsheviks were detained ahead of Russian president Vladimir Putin's visit to Minsk, BelaPAN news agency reports.
